Brian Solomon

CapMin Ohio; and
National Director of Training
As director of training, Brian Solomon is charged with leading efforts to plan and develop training materials for ministry leaders at all levels of service. These materials will be used to teach Bible-teaching evangelists how to establish, lead, and sustain discipleship ministries to political leaders from local city and county government to parliamentarian levels.

Pastor Solomon also co-leads the weekly discipleship Bible study to members of the Ohio Legislature that he and Brian Hanson have led together since 2019. But he is not timid about the breadth and scope of these responsibilities because he believes God equips those whom He has called. “God’s sovereignty is wonderful to consider—that the God of the universe knows me and orchestrates the events and affairs of my life, and He wields them for my good and His ultimate glory,” he said.

Pastor Solomon has decades of experience in ministry. He earned a Bachelor of Science in the Bible from Baptist Bible College and completed coursework in the Master of Ministry program from Baptist Bible Seminary, both in Clarks Summit, PA. He also completed coursework in the Master of Ministry program at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. Before joining CapMin, he served as pastor of family ministries at Southgate Baptist Church in Springfield, Ohio where he and his wife Naomi make their home with their four daughters.

Public servants desperately need the Word of God, he said. “Scriptures tell us that ‘faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ’ (Romans 10:17). The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, and it fundamentally changes the values and worldview of the individual.

“Additionally, these public servants bear the great responsibility of shaping laws and policies that impact our world and affect so many. The stakes are high.”
