Ministries to political leaders Launching in Delaware, Maine, and Washington State
After successfully completing required Capitol Ministries training, newly accepted ministry leaders are eager to begin discipleship Bible studies to lawmakers in the states of Washington, Maine, and Delaware.
The Capitol Ministries Training Conference, which was held in Southern California this month, was intense and delivered more than was expected, said Morris Webster, a retired businessman and newly named CapMin ministry leader to Delaware.
“The training was incredibly impressive, not only from a nuts and bolts training standpoint which was just outstanding, but the most important take away was that Jesus Christ is at the center of everything,” Webster said. “These people are serious about knowing God and sharing Him with the political people who greatly influence our lives.”
Webster will lead weekly Bible studies to legislators in Delaware’s capitol, Legislative Hall in Dover. He will also serve as CapMin’s Delaware director of Local Government Ministries (LGM) which plants Bible studies to city and county elected and appointed public servants.
Also completing the training were Captain Greg Wooldridge and Rus Willette.
Captain Wooldridge has been named ministry leader to legislators in the state of Washington. Captain Wooldridge served in the United States Navy for twenty-seven years. During the final decade of his career, he served on three occasions as the flight leader and commanding officer of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels.
Willette worked with The Navigators Christian ministry and helped create ministries on college campuses throughout Maine. He learned about Capitol Ministries after he sensed a call from God to go to the capitol campus and minister to political leaders. He will create a discipleship ministry to members of the Maine legislature.
Neither Captain Wooldridge nor Willette were immediately available for comment. More complete stories about each ministry leader and their objectives for their ministries will be published in the future.
Drollinger led the October training along with Brian Hanson, CapMin’s International Director. Both men are enthusiastic about the ministry launches.
“We continue to thank our Lord for bringing to CapMin these interested and qualified ministry leader candidates for U.S. state capitals, local governments, and foreign federal capitals,” Drollinger said. “Please be praying for CapMin and our 24-year-old objective to plant 50 ministries in all 50 state capitals.”
Capitol Ministries has launched weekly discipleship Bible studies in 43 states, in more than two dozen foreign nations, and has begun to create ministries to local elected and appointed leaders in local communities across the United States.
Drollinger personally teaches four weekly studies in Washington, D.C. to members of President Donald Trump’s White House Cabinet, to members of the President’s high-level administration, and to U.S. Senators and Representatives.
