World-Renowned Logos Bible Software with Instant Translation Provided to CapMin Ministry Leaders Worldwide!
Hundreds of the best publications in Christian theology – books, journals, commentaries, and other resources – are available to ministry leaders around the world through a partnership Capitol Ministries forged with Logos, the world’s largest developer of Bible software.
CapMin is making available a 350-book integrated library that comes with a built-in language translation feature so that ministry leaders around the world – even those in the most remote locations – may access the materials in their own languages. This product, which is valued at $2,400, is provided to ministry leaders at no cost.
“This is huge for us,” Ralph Drollinger, president and founder of Capitol Ministries told the Board of Directors. “What a great tool this is to equip our ministry leaders to teach in-depth the Word of God!”
In addition to the extensive library, the Capitol Ministries Logos version also contains our books, Oaks in Office: Biblical Essays for Political Leaders, and All in Authority: Reigniting the Bible’s Top-Down Missions Strategy, and hundreds of Bible studies that have been written specifically to meet the personal and professional faith needs of public servants over the course of our 27 years in ministry.
With a computer and internet access, Bible teachers in the 60 nations where CapMin has established discipleship Bible study ministries will have lightning-fast access to these world-class resources.
Pastors will be able to study the history of the development of doctrine, preaching and ministry exegesis, research the original Hebrew, Latin, or Greek words that were used in various Bible translations, research and write their own Bible studies, or access the CapMin studies that have been written specifically for public servants over decades. Ralph said, “Our North Star objective is to give all our ministry leaders the appliances and groceries to create their own nutritious and attractive spiritual meals—gourmet meals with specific national flavors—versus thawing out a frozen hamburger from America.”
CapMin licensed the Logos 8 software eight years ago, upgraded to Logos 9, and now has contracted to provide Bible teachers with Logos 10 that comes with a built-in feature that instantly translates all the publications into 110 languages including French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, German, and Moldovan. Type a question in the search bar and find the answers in the library. Version 10 with the translation feature is being distributed to non-English speaking ministry leaders.
CapMin’s Tom Logan, a retired attorney, manages the Logos partnership and product for us and makes the software available to ministry leaders around the world.
“These books and resources in our library can be stored on the Bible teacher’s computer or accessed directly from the Logos website,” Tom said. “I’ve told our guys, take a look and see if you need a book that isn’t there and I’ll see if I can add it for you.
“These fantastic resources make it easier for the Bible teacher to write a Bible study,” Tom said. “The best benefits are that the Bible teacher can research and understand what the original words mean as well as learn about the cultural implications of the times the Scripture was written.”
“And we can all be confident that the resources would not be in the Logos product if they weren’t biblically solid.”
The Logos software instant translation feature will provide some of the best Christian publications in the world to ministry leaders everywhere, even those who live in areas that don’t have extensive libraries.
Ralph added, “This software is HUGE for our national ministry leaders who reside in third world countries where it is virtually impossible to supply them with a substantive theological library—the tools they need to create high-protein Bible studies like the ones I lead in D.C. This is a library of 350 volumes of good, conservative theology—the best in the history of the church! This is monumental!”
The enhanced Logos software will help CapMin achieve our goal of 200 Bible-study based ministries in 200 nations. CapMin is also working to establish discipleship ministries in all 50 states, in all branches of the federal government, and in the 40,000 incorporated cities and counties in the United States.
