Pastor Monterroza: Reaching Public Servants for Christ in El Salvador!
January 2015
The question to Pastor Mario Monterroza is not whether Public Servants of El Salvador are ready for his work as the newly-installed Ministry Leader to that federal capitol, but whether God is ready for the work to begin.
“I believe that when you bring the word of God to people in authority they are not necessarily waiting for it or want to hear it, that is the reality,” Pastor Monterroza said in Spanish, in a recent interview though an interpreter. “What I believe is whether man is prepared is not essential. What is essential is that God is prepared to bring this to El Salvador.”
In preparation to begin his ministry, Pastor Monterroza has begun developing a network of individuals and church congregations to provide prayer support. He has also begun preparing Bible studies and materials. When those two goals are accomplished, he will work with Public Servants to establish the Bible study in the federal capitol.
As pastor of a missions-driven congregation, Pastor Monterroza believes it is his duty to lead his church in expanding in his native country Capitol Ministries’ mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ in the political arena throughout the world.
“I support Capitol Ministries because I believe in the mission and I see the passion with which Ralph communicates the mission,” he said. “There is authority in the mission. It is a biblical mission. The vision is clear and a passion is evident, but most importantly, the foundation of both is in biblical text. The word of God, when it is proclaimed, is what changes the hearts of people, what changes families and what changes countries entirely.”
