Lawmaker: Could Michigan’s Anguish Have Been Prevented?
In-depth Bible studies have such an important impact on elected officials for many reasons, and one of the most important is in their personal lives. We are going through a very difficult time in Michigan right now. Two outspoken conservative Christian legislators have been involved in an extramarital relationship and a failed cover up that has impacted all of us who are Christian. Of course we are being asked by talk show hosts our thoughts on what is going on. It reminds us that “let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12). Fellowship with a band of brothers and sisters in accountability to the Word of God and to each other is a must. If those legislators had been involved in a weekly Bible study, maybe this might not have happened and the followers of Christ would not have this soiled spot to contend with.
