Brazil Ministry Leader: “Capitol Ministries is from the heart of God!”
The Capitol Ministries Bible study to the National Congress of Brazil that began in September has been “tremendously well-received” and “God continues to open many doors to us,” said ministry leader Pastor Raul Ferreira.
“I am amazed by the way Capitol Ministries has been received in Brazil,” he said. “This validates for me that this ministry is from the heart of God. I never imagined that accomplishments we are seeing could be done in such a short amount of time.”
“Our ministry has been tremendously well-received by all the authorities.”
The Bible studies that are taught every week to members of the U.S. White House Cabinet, U.S. Senators, and Representatives in Washington D.C. by Ralph Drollinger, President of Capitol Ministries, have been translated into Portuguese and are being taught by Pastor Ferreira to leaders in Brazil.
Pastor Ferreira is well known in Brazil not only as a knowledgeable, skilled, and talented pastor, but also for having worked for many years in the political arena.
“The representatives who attend our Bible study love meeting together,” he said. “The proof is that they are extremely busy, but in that one hour that they attend the study, they just turn off their mobile phones and pay attention to me, even though their assistants are outside door the door going crazy trying to take them away for other business.”
Upward of a half-dozen congressmen and congresswomen regularly attend, and others will soon be joining the group.
With the congressional ministry moving forward, Pastor Ferreira is meeting and praying with other national leaders and is working to establish additional Bible studies to other branches of government.
“My plan now is to keep teaching the ones who have come to the Bible study while I advance to the others, especially to evangelize non-Christians. I have set aside Wednesdays for visits with the aim of sharing more about the ministry and to make myself available to help them in prayers.”
Pastor Ferreira said he is pursuing a recent opportunity to establish a new Bible study to high-ranking political leaders that many people thought would not be possible.
“Please, pray for me. Great doors are opening and this will be a little difficult, but not impossible,” he said. “God is making a way to make it real.”
