Capitol Ministries is Shining the Light of the Gospel in Panama’s Government
On August 26, 2025, Capitol Ministries celebrated the launch of a new Bible Study for Panama’s legislators. Ministry Leader Roderick Burgos and Latin America Director Oscar Zamora had long sought to establish this ministry, but repeated obstacles had delayed their efforts.
After persistent prayer and dedication, God opened the door as 25 legislators, state officials, and pastors gathered for the inaugural weekly Bible Study—a ministry that had never before existed in Panama. Ralph Drollinger, the Founder and President of Capitol Ministries, passionately shared the biblical mandate for reaching public servants with the Gospel and the lasting fruit such a ministry could bring to the nation.
Roderick Burgos, CapMin’s Ministry Leader for Panama, has built a strong network of relationships with legislators while working alongside them to defend family values. With a business background, Roderick understands that strong families are the foundation of a strong nation. Yet he also recognizes that for this foundation to remain effective, the light of the Gospel must shine brightly in both the family and the government.
Both Ralph Drollinger and Oscar Zamora expressed their joy that Bible teaching will now be an important part of Panama’s legislative life. Reflecting on his partnership with Roderick, Oscar shared:
“I am so grateful to Roderick for being a champion of Capitol Ministries’ vision in Panama. Without a skilled Bible teacher on the ground, well connected with members of the National Assembly, it would be impossible to have a successful ministry. Roderick not only has the heart to serve political leaders but also possesses the right skills to bring the Gospel before the leaders of Panama.”
