CapMin Bible Studies Provide Ukrainian Political Leaders “Life Changing Experience”
“The majority of people who attend the Bible Study and prayer groups across Ukraine have never read the Bible in their lives, so pondering Scripture is a life-changing experience. Indeed, faith comes from hearing.”
These are the words of Pavel Unguryan, an Evangelical Christian and former member of the Ukrainian Parliament who has been helping Capitol Ministries create discipleship ministries to political leaders at all levels in his nation and other European countries since 2019.
Former Deputy Unguryan also sponsors the Capitol Ministries Bible study to members of the Ukrainian Parliament that is led by Pastor Nickolay Skopych who is part of the Ukraine Baptist Union.
“Studying the Bible often brings peace among people from different parties while the story of Jesus produces humility and even tears on the eyes of the Members,” he said.
“Ukrainian lawmakers see and realize the healing, wisdom, and impact that studying the Bible brings into their lives and also in the state and city councils where they take place.”
Capitol Ministries is working to plant 200 discipleship ministries to political leaders in 200 foreign nations, ministries to city and county public servants in the 40,000 local governments across the United States, and 50 ministries to state leaders in 50 state capitols.
We do this by pairing biblically reliant Bible teachers with Christian elected officials who sponsor the Bible studies inside the halls of government and invite their colleagues to attend.
