The passion of my heart in leading Capitol Ministries is first to win national Public Servants to Christ and mature them in their faith. Nothing is more important. But running right behind is the Capitol Ministries vision to create an infrastructure of local ministry partners to reach city and county government leaders throughout our nation!

Can you imagine what will result in our country with thousands of strong believers with Christian world views serving in all levels of Public Service?

Most believers I meet today— even leading pastors — have bad attitudes when it comes to politicians. We must begin loving and winning our leaders to Christ! That is my big vision and it is what drives me. I ask you to pray with me in this regard — and catch the vision!

I am grateful that Capitol Ministries has a worldwide mission. This nation, the United States, was meant to be a light to the world. When William Penn came to Pennsylvania and was granted this land, one of his objectives was to bring his religious beliefs to what would become the United States of America. His vision was to be that shining city on the hill. We need to expand that light to the rest of the world. I’m excited to have the Word of God being taught in an unapologetic way inside the Pennsylvania Capitol. I am grateful to be a part of Capitol Ministries and its worldwide mission.

A few weeks ago, members of our Hillsboro Bible study began discussing when life begins. To teach them the biblical perspective, I gave the members copies of “God’s View of Babies Inside and Outside the Womb” which was written by Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries who leads Bible studies to U.S. senators and representatives every week on the Hill in Washington, D.C. Among many Scriptures quoted in the study was Psalm 139:13: For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.

This verse points out that God is at work in the formation of the baby inside the womb, thus, life begins at the point of conception.

The next week one of the members of the Bible study reported that a voter had called to ask his position on this issue.

The candidate was equipped to share confidently his prolife stance as a result of the Bible study materials and our discussion.

Capitol Ministries Bible studies are helping upcoming leaders learn the Word of God in a way that brings out its applicability to our modern lives.

I am continuingly impressed by the applicability of God’s Word to our present time.
