Celebrating and Expressing Gratitude for the Gift of Easter
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 tells us, and because of that, God has provided a way back to Him through the sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ.
It is at Easter that Christians are most keenly aware of God’s gift of Salvation. Believers and unbelievers alike come together at family gatherings to celebrate the wonder and miracle of Easter.
During this time hearts are more receptive to the promise of salvation that God provided for those who believe in His Son, repent of their sins, and follow the teachings of Christ.
Beginning on Easter Sunday and through the following week, opportunities will arise for believers to share God with family and friends who do not know Him.
Please take advantage of these occasions. I’ve written a Bible study, “Leading Family Devotions on Easter,” which discusses how to reach those we love with the message of salvation.
Leading the family spiritually is an important role of the husband as head of the home.
Being obedient to Scripture in this regard will inure personal blessings from above. Secondly, it helps to assure that The Faith is passed down in your family lineage.
Easter is an important time for you to build your family culture … “but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” states Joshua in Joshua 24:15.

We at Capitol Ministries wish you a blessed Easter. With grateful hearts we celebrate the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross that provided the miracle gift of salvation from our God. May our Lord richly bless you as you observe this wonder.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8)
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).
“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:1–2).
