Christian Media Giant CBN: Capitol Ministries at the Heart of White House Spiritual Awakening
Capitol Ministries is at the heart of a spiritual awakening that is underway at the White House, says a story aired this week by media giant Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).
“Some of the most powerful people in America have been gathering weekly to learn more about God’s Word, and this Trump Cabinet Bible study is making history,” said Jennifer Wishon, White House Correspondent for CBN News in a story aired Monday on The 700 Club Program.
“They’ve been called the most evangelical Cabinet in history – men and women who don’t mince words when it comes to where they stand on God and the Bible.”
The story is about Capitol Ministries’ recently-established Bible study to Members of President Donald Trump’s White House Cabinet and based on Ms. Wishon’s interview with Bible study leader Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries (CM).
“Drollinger is a former NBA-playing giant of a man with an even bigger calling. He founded Capitol Ministries with the idea that if you change the hearts of lawmakers, then their Christian world view will guide them to make good policies,” Ms. Wishon said.
“I don’t think Donald Trump has figured out that he chained himself to the Apostle Paul,” Drollinger said in the story.
The Capitol Ministries weekly Cabinet Bible study that was launched earlier this year is the first of its kind in more than 100 years.
It joins two weekly Bible studies that Drollinger has taught for many years to U.S. Senators and Representatives in Washington, D.C.
The Capitol Ministries D.C. Bible studies are sponsored by Vice President Mike Pence, eight Cabinet Members, and 56 U.S. Senators and Representatives.
Capitol Ministries, which has planted Bible studies in 40 state Capitols and 24 foreign nations, has a mission to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to political leaders around the world.
Ms. Wishon’s story was also featured on CBN’s newly launched talk show, FAITH NATION, which airs live at 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays on the CBN News Facebook page.
Ms. Wishon appeared on FAITH NATION to discuss the story with hosts, award-winning journalist and CBN Chief Political Correspondent, David Brody, and CBN News Correspondent Jenna Browder.
