Dr. Ben Carson: Christians Must live the Word – not be Silent!
“I am very grateful for the ministry of Capitol Ministries.
Ralph and Danielle have been helping to spread the Gospel and recognize that this needs to be done at all levels, local, state, national and international.
“Ralph has started Bibles studies with the White House Cabinet, Senate, the House, for state legislators and it continues around the world.
“Why is this so important?
“It is particularly important today because there is a falling away from our Judeo-Christian heritage.
“There are so many people who do not have a foundation for their belief system and anything can come into their lives and sway them. It is very important to be principled, to have a basis for your belief system, and that is why the discussions that we have in the Cabinet Bible study every Wednesday morning are so important.
“You can take the principles of the Bible and apply them to what we are doing on a regular basis every day and how we can actually be helpful to people and make a real difference in their lives.
“We must never shy away from the fact that there is nothing wrong with godly principles, loving your neighbor, caring about others, and treating them the way you would like to be treated, having those values and principles that govern your life and developing the talents that you have to the utmost so that you become valuable to the people around you.
“There is a reason that each of us is here, and it is not to cause trouble, it is not to be hateful, it is not to just to resist everybody, but it is to enhance the environment in which we live, not only for ourselves and our families but for everyone.
“The old saying is, ‘silence is golden.’ This is a time when it is not golden.
“Being silent will not get us where we need to go. We need to go out there and live the Word so that others might be elevated.”
