Grateful for CapMin Bible Studies, U.S. Rep. Rick Allen says, “Our only shot is Jesus Christ”
Numerous U.S. senators and representatives endorse the Capitol Ministries Bible Studies for Congressional Members and among them is Rep. Rick Allen who serves the people in Georgia’s 12th congressional district.
Rep. Allen said he first came to the House Bible Study led by Ralph Drollinger, president and founder of CapMin, at the invitation of Dr. Tom Price who served in the House 2005 to 2017 representing the people in Georgia’s 6th congressional district.
Poking fun at Drollinger’s extensive vocabulary, Rep. Allen noted, “Ralph will make your head hurt!” Good-natured humor aside, Rep. Allen spoke with sincerity about how important the Bible study is to him. While his schedulers sometimes express disapproval that he missed other meetings, Rep. Allen said his time at the Bible study is not a matter of debate.
“I got fussed at by staff for not being in a different meeting, but I said I will not miss a Bible study,” Rep. Allen said. “The only reason I’m in office today is because of Capitol Ministries.”
“God is up to something. We studied tax policy today and I had no idea that was in the Bible! Ralph is full of the Holy Spirit. Our only shot is Jesus Christ. Thank you for your commitment to this ministry. I could not do without it.”
