Madagascar Ministry Launch and Training Conference
Antananarivo, Madagascar | March 26–27, 2026
Capitol Ministries recently celebrated a significant milestone with the official launch of its ministry in Madagascar, followed by a dedicated day of leadership training in Antananarivo. The two-day event brought together 20 influential leaders—including Members of Parliament, mayors, former government officials, and pastors—marking a strong and promising beginning.

Day 1: Ministry Launch
The first day centered on the formal launch of Capitol Ministries in Madagascar. The gathering opened with a powerful and unifying moment as attendees stood to sing the national anthem in four-part harmony, setting a reverent and purposeful tone for the day.
Participants were introduced to the mission of Capitol Ministries—Making Disciples of Jesus Christ in the Political Arena Throughout the World —through clear and compelling teaching. The response was immediate and encouraging. Attendees were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and expressing a strong desire to establish Bible studies among elected officials. What initially appeared to be a modest gathering exceeded expectations, with additional chairs needed as attendance grew.

Day 2: Leadership Training
The second day focused on practical training and implementation. Teaching led by Steve Flandorp, Jon Cassel, and Dr. Raymond Koffi equipped participants with both theological depth and actionable steps for launching and sustaining Bible studies in government settings.
Discussion during this session revealed a deep hunger for continued learning, particularly in the areas of evangelism, teaching, and discipleship. Participants demonstrated readiness to move forward, engaging in meaningful dialogue about how to apply the Capitol Ministries model within their respective spheres of influence.

Local Leadership and Strategic Connections
The success of the conference was made possible in large part through strong local leadership. Pastor Solofo Ramaholimihaso CapMin’s Ministry Leader provided steady oversight, supported by Pastor Triomphe our Local Government Ministry (LGM) leader, who brings prior CapMin training experience, and Lionel Niangouna Milongo our Local Government Ministry (LGM) leader and translator, who played a critical role in coordinating logistics with excellence.
The conference also yielded valuable strategic connections. One mayor has already expressed interest in launching a ministry in his city and has been connected with Capitol Ministries leadership in Central Africa, opening the door for meaningful regional collaboration.
Pastor Solofo shared, “Our work is clearly set before us. Leaders are eager to learn how to make disciples, establish Bible studies within their spheres of influence, and overcome practical obstacles—such as printing materials to CapMin standards. There is a palpable excitement here. Please pray for our men and the work in Madagascar.”
Steve Flandorp, Capitol Ministries Director for Africa, added, “This launch represents more than a successful event—it marks the beginning of what could become a thriving, Spirit-led ministry across Madagascar. With strong local leadership, engaged participants, and clear next steps, Capitol Ministries is well positioned to cultivate a lasting ministry that will influence the nation’s leadership for generations to come.”
Please join us in praying for continued momentum, wisdom in leadership development, and open doors throughout Madagascar.
