Meet Pastor Sean Arviso: New Capitol Ministries Board Member
Capitol Ministries is pleased to welcome Pastor Sean Arviso as a new member of our Board of Directors.
Pastor Sean grew up in Southern California, was not raised in a Christian environment, and was even a foster child for a time. In 2009, he was invited to a local church where he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and began to grow in his walk with God. Pastor Sean has served in pastoral ministry for over 12 years and currently serves as the Lead Pastor of Christ Community Church Brawley in Brawley, California—a role he has held for the past five years. Under his leadership, the church ministers to more than 600 people during weekend services along with ongoing evangelism and discipleship efforts throughout the week.
Pastor Sean earned his bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Calvary Chapel Bible College and a master’s degree in Christian apologetics from Biola University, equipping him to teach God’s Word and train God’s people with both clarity and conviction. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Sean has faithfully served his community for more than five years as a chaplain for the Brawley Police Department and as a chaplain for Imperial County hospitals, providing trauma-informed spiritual care and crisis counseling. He has also served on government boards at both the city and county levels, offering biblically grounded insight and leadership in community affairs. Sean has been married to Victoria for over eleven years, and together they are raising four children.
Pastor Sean’s passion for Capitol Ministries is rooted in a deep conviction regarding the importance of Godly leadership. He explained:
“When leaders are transformed by Christ and guided by God’s Word, the impact on the people they serve can be profound—because where the captain goes, so goes the ship.”
As a Board Member, Sean looks forward to supporting and strengthening the ministry’s efforts, particularly by encouraging pastors to engage in government ministry and to faithfully shepherd public servants through the teaching of Scripture while shepherding their own local congregation.
When asked about his prayer for the ministry, Sean responded:
“My prayer is that we don’t get so busy working for Jesus that we lose the most important priority of loving Jesus. My prayer is that the Capitol Ministries team would always be deeply grounded in God’s Word and close to God’s heart. My prayer is that our team remains united and focused on the specific mission God has called us to do.”
We thank the Lord for bringing Pastor Sean Arviso to the Capitol Ministries Board and ask you to join us in praying for him and his family as he serves in this important role.
