Capitol Ministries has launched what is reported to be the first ever weekly Bible Study for sitting and former governors of America.
Nearly a dozen governors and former governors began studying the Bible with Ralph Drollinger in February 2023. Drollinger led the kick-off study in person in Washington, D.C. at the Republican Governors Association meetings, and subsequent studies have continued weekly via Zoom.
These Bible studies are in-depth and comprehensive, teaching the whole purpose of God (Acts 20:27) and specifically written to address the personal and professional faith needs of the nation’s highest state leaders.
Now, Dr. Randy Adams serves as the Senior Bible Teacher for the Governors Bible Study, continuing this vital ministry with the same commitment to exegetical depth, clarity, and practical application of Scripture. Dr. Adams brings decades of pastoral leadership and a deep passion for discipleship.
This is the third groundbreaking study that CapMin has established. In 2017, Drollinger launched what was lauded as the first Bible study in 200 years to Cabinet members, and in 2020, he began a study to White House senior staff. Though many of those leaders have since left office, they continue to study the Bible weekly via Zoom.
The Governors Bible Study has been a long-term objective of Capitol Ministries since our inception in 1996, made increasingly urgent in recent years as our country faces rapid moral and cultural decline. Countless hours of groundwork, preparation, organizing, and networking have gone into making this ministry a reality.
Imagine the God-centered impact on our nation when political leaders delve deeply into the Word of God every week. Scripture is filled with principles that speak directly to the governance of cities, states, and nations:
“The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord;
He turns it wherever He wishes.” — Proverbs 21:1
