Ministry Leaders Gather for Training Conference
September 2014
New and established Ministry Leaders will gather together this fall at a Capitol Ministries training conference where they will learn effective methods to help them minister to Public Servants in State Capitols around the nation and in six foreign countries.
These seasoned and strong Bible-teaching Ministry Leaders have been carefully selected to help fulfill Capitol Ministries’ mission of Making Disciples of Jesus Christ in the political arena in the United States and around the world.
As we begin to expand our mission world-wide, this year among the 40 new and existing Ministry Leaders will be those from the Republic of Benin, The Republic of El Salvador, the Republic of Senegal, Mexico, and possibly the Ukraine and Burundi.
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann will be the keynote speaker at the conference that will be held at the Morningside Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA, Nov. 4-8.
“The goal of conference is to birth new ministries and to have the Ministry Leaders go through our standard training, and also have Capitol Ministries Board of Directors approval for ministry assignments,” said Ralph Drollinger, founder and president of Capitol Ministries.
Many have already begun their work. You may have read some of their stories on Capitol Ministries Website over the past few months, which have included:
• A Ministry Leader who records Bible studies on CDs so Public Servants may listen to them during commutes to and from the Capitol.
• A Ministry Leader who has built a foundation of praying Christians through a council of seven biblically-based churches of different denominations to sustain his ministry when it begins in a few weeks.
• A newly-installed Ministry Leader who has seen 13 Legislators and 1 Legislative Director come to Christ in the 18 months he has led Bible studies and visited with them one-on-one.
These are but three in a large number of remarkable experiences that are unfolding through the dedication of these strong biblical preachers, and through those who support Capitol Ministries through prayers and donations.
In great part the work of these dedicated Bible teachers could not be done without the support of faithful donors. As they gather to learn how to effectively teach God’s Word, we would be grateful for your commitment to pray for the conference, and, if you wish to partner with us in this mission, we greatly appreciate your monetary gifts of any size.
The need for Public Servants to know Christ is great both in our nation and around the globe, Ralph said.
“There are many foreign and as well as U.S. Capitols where Public Servants need an evangelist more than they need a Bible teacher,” Ralph said.
