New Ministries Birthed in Four African Nations
Four new discipleship ministries have been launched in African nations after Ministry Leader candidates successfully completed last week’s Capitol Ministries Recruiting and Training Conference in Port of Lomé, Togo.
The new Ministry Leaders are:
• Dennis Aggrey of Liberia
• Alberto Guambe of Mozambique
• Solofo Ramaholimihaso of Madagascar
• Mahamadou Sawadogo of Burkina Faso
Those new ministries bring the total to 14 nations in which Capitol Ministries has planted discipleship Bible studies to reach the Parliamentarians, Presidents, and national leaders in African federal Capitols as part of our international expansion.
Azarias Ruberwa, attorney and former Vice President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo who attended the conference, told the 20-plus attendees that the need was great to take the Gospel to leaders of nations.
“It is important that Christian leaders are shaped by Scripture, and encouraged to stand for biblical principles in government,” he said.
The event was held Oct. 9-12 at the ocean side Hotel Sarakawa, and was attended by new and existing Ministry Leaders to African nations. The training included Capitol Ministries’ biblical mandate, its mission, and specifics of how to establish and maintain an ongoing weekly ministry to national leaders.
“We are looking for leaders with maturity and you would not be here today if we didn’t believe that of you,” Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries said. “These leaders desperately need men of God to take the Word of God to them. We praise God for each of you — and these tremendous open doors of opportunity for the Gospel!”
Also attending were: David Iteriteka from Burundi; Koffi Esaw from Togo; Habib Barth Afolabi from Togo; Mianbe LeGondje from Chad; Raymond Koffi from Cameroun; Romain Zannou from Benin; Anatole Banga from the Central African Republic; Daniel Glymin from Ghana; Dr. Sylvester Rogers from Sierra Leone; and Obi and Martha Onwuzurumba from Nigeria. Obi, who is Capitol Ministries’ Affinity Sphere Director for English-speaking Africa, and his wife, Martha, are in ministry together.
In future Ministry Updates, we will share the vision and the plans that these Ministry Leaders have to take the Word of God to leaders in their respective nations.
The African expansion is part of Capitol Ministries’ international growth objective to impact and disciple Christian leaders to assure that biblical principles are present in the political arena.
Drollinger said he was pleased that planting ministries in Africa has been met with such enthusiasm and asks Capitol Ministry supporters to continue praying that God would continue to birth new ministries in the federal capitals of Africa as well as nations on other continents.
The new candidates were recruited by Jon Cassel, who is Capitol Ministries’ Affinity Sphere Director for French-speaking Africa who also attended the conference, Obi Onwuzurumbam, and Romain Zannou, Ministry Leader from Benin. Capitol Ministries is grateful for their work in planning the successful conference.
“This is not an easy calling,” Drollinger told the men. “What will keep you going? It must be commitment to theology that you take to your prayer closet. Persevere.”
