Prayer Request as CapMin Leaders Gather in D.C. from Around the Globe
Your prayers are requested that God will bless and energize the Capitol Ministries International Conference in Washington D.C. that will welcome nearly 100 ministry leaders from federal and state capitals in the United States and foreign nations in early December.
Capitol Ministries has seen fantastic growth in the past year and will be welcoming long-established leaders as well as many new ministry leaders from as near as Texas, Colorado, and Alaska and as far away as India, Brazil, and Tanzania.
“We are excited that these godly, Bible-teaching evangelists have accepted the critical responsibility of teaching the Word of God to their political leaders,” said Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries.
“By discipling the leaders of nations and helping them mature in the faith, these missionaries are involved in some of the most important work of our time to further the kingdom of God. When strong ministries are established and ongoing in capitals, it greatly aids and facilitates all other missional work in the country.
“We are excited to be a catalyst in this vital work that will change the world for Him, one heart at a time.”
The ministry leaders (some of whom will be attending with their ministry-partner wives) will be learning how to create and sustain discipleship Bible study ministries to political leaders in local, state, and provincial governments to national parliamentarians and members of congress.
Instruction will be given on how to establish Bible studies to elected officials, the value of discipleship and relationship building, the priority of evangelism, the importance of leading public servants toward maturity in Christ, and fund-raising as missionaries are self-supporting, among many other topics.
The conference is also designed to build relationships between Capitol Ministries leaders, help them in their planning, and of course, cast worldwide vision for what we’re called to do.
In addition to Bible teaching, ministry leaders also provide spiritual support, friendship, and pastoral counseling in times of trials, temptations, family struggles, and other difficulties.
Held in the beautiful Museum of the Bible in the heart of D.C., Capitol Ministries’ training is indispensable. Its intensely biblical methodology has been shaped through 23 years of trial and error since the first ministry was created in Sacramento to members of the California Legislature in 1996.
To ensure a successful conference, Drollinger asks for prayer.
“I ask that our prayer partners and supporters pray for this conference,” he said. “Please pray that God’s leading will be made clear, that doors across the world will continue to open to His Word, and that Capitol Ministries teams will be faithful to carry out the mandate of the Great Commission to the leaders of the world.”
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
