Stockton Mayor Lincoln: I Prayed for Wisdom… “God Brought Me Capitol Ministries”
Kevin Lincoln, mayor of Stockton, CA recently spoke to CapMin ministry leaders about the powerful impact that discipleship Bible study ministries have on America’s public servants. Here is what he said:
“When I first took office in January 2021, I prayed and asked the Lord to give me wisdom and put the right people in my path to encourage me and keep me rooted in the Word of the Lord so that I may make good decisions for the city of Stockton. And God brought me Capitol Ministries.
“I am really thankful for this ministry and thankful for my leader, Greg. I am also thankful for all [of CapMin’s ministry leaders] who answer the call to serve the leaders of states and reach the hearts and lives of other elected officials.
“Sometimes we’ve had to take time off due to our schedule, and when we resumed, the Bible studies were perfect for that season. To me, that is the power of the Lord and the Holy Spirit because He knows exactly what we need.
“I want to encourage you all. I am so thankful and extremely indebted to Capitol Ministries. May God bless you all and your families.”
