The 10-day trip to nearly as many European nations was quite fruitful for Ralph and Danielle Drollinger who met with numerous Christian parliamentarians, trained newly named ministry leaders, cultivated teams to further the ministry and preached the gospel to more than 50,000 people at a national festival.
“It was a very productive and rewarding trip and I want to thank our friends, prayer partners, and supporters for covering us in prayer,” Ralph said. “Your prayers empowered us and we believe our Lord blessed this journey.”
Traveling to a number of countries from Brussels to Macedonia, and from Ukraine to Serbia, a highlight was Ukraine’s national Thanksgiving Day festival that was hosted by the Evangelicals of Ukraine. Celebrated in the capital city of Kyiv, the festival was attended by an estimated 50,000 who enjoyed music concerts, performances, and a variety of other activities.
At the close of the day during the main event, Ralph was invited to give the Gospel message to the crowd from the festival stage.
He greeted the Ukrainian people from the U.S. Presidential Cabinet, the Senate, and the House of Representatives Members Bible studies that he teaches weekly in Washington, D.C., then told the assembly that he and Danielle were there to meet with government and religious leaders about expanding CM’s Bible study ministries in Ukraine. As Ralph spoke, an interpreter standing on the stage, translated his sermon into Ukrainian.
“One of the things that make America such a wonderful country is that we have leaders who are steeped in the Scriptures,” Ralph said. “In fact, we have 11 U.S. Cabinet members from the White House every week who study the Bible together. We view the Scriptures as the authority in our decision making.”
“We believe that only as a legislator begins with thinking right about God can he or she be expected to make legislation that blesses a nation.”
Ralph asked for prayer as Capitol Ministries works to establish a presidential cabinet Bible study and more ministries to local government leaders in Ukraine’s 24 provincial capitals. Those would be in addition to the thriving discipleship Bible study to parliamentarians that Capitol Ministries joined with Parliamentarian Pavlo Unguryan to create in 2018, and a number of local government ministries that have already been established.
Presenting the gospel message, Ralph told the festival crowd that he came to Jesus Christ during his senior year in high school.
“I invited Jesus Christ into my heart to forgive my sins. I asked Him to fill me with His Holy Spirit. The Bible is clear that we each need to do that, and that is the beginning of a righteous person who leads to a righteous nation.
“So, if you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I invite you to ask Jesus into your heart tonight, just like we invite the members of your political leadership to do the same.
“When you or a political leader are filled with God’s Holy Spirit, as you learn the precepts of the Word of God, as you are obedient to God’s Word, God will bless your life and he will bless your nation.”
Drollinger was invited to speak before gatherings in a number of other nations, including at a breakfast with 40 Romanian mayors. Some were already affiliated with CM, having previously established Bible study ministries to community political leaders, and others were hearing about the ministry for the first time.
Many local government ministries have already been established in Ukrainian provinces and communities. During the journey, Ralph and Danielle provided training to 40 newly appointed ministry leaders on how to establish and maintain a discipleship Bible study to elected and appointed government leaders.
The couple also traveled to meet with government and faith leaders in Romania, Serbia, Macedonia, and Brussels. Other leaders traveled from Norway, Russia, and Moldovia to meet with the couple to discuss planting Bible study ministries.
With a mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the political arena throughout the world, Capitol Ministries is working to create 200 ministries in 200 foreign nations in the years to come. Capitol Ministries has planted nearly 70 ministries worldwide, mostly in the United States, Africa, and Latin America.
