This is God’s Work. Go to it! – Congregation to Pastor about Capitol Ministries’ Mission
November 2014
When Ralph Drollinger spoke at the Sunnyside Baptist Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming about the biblical mandate to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the political arena, the congregation prayed about how to reach their state Public Servants.
Then they talked to their pastor.
“They told me they believe God is in this, and they voted to become involved (with Capitol Ministries),” said Max Janzen, senior pastor at Sunnyside. “Then they literally circled me with their hands on me and commissioned me. They said, ‘This is God’s work. Go to it.'”
Pastor Janzen was approved as Ministry Leader to Public Servants in the capitol of the cowboy state at the Nov. 8 meeting of the Capitol Ministries Board of Directors. The vote came after Pastor Janzen completed the required four-day training led by Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries.
Pastor Janzen will begin his ministry and weekly Bible studies in 2015. “My church sees this as an investment in our nation,” he said.
