Those Who Bless Israel, God Will bless; Those who Curse Her, He will Curse
The Bible tells us to support and pray for Israel, but can you immediately and cogently reason from Scripture why America should be committed to Israel and the Jewish people?
So begins a riveting two part series on the “Biblical Case for Defending Israel” that Ralph Drollinger is teaching America’s national leaders in Bible studies on the Hill in Washington, D.C.
“This people and country are extra special—set apart by God from all others,” Drollinger writes in Part 1 of the series.
“No other countries compare because in the Old Covenant God chose Israel to be His people as a light unto all the other Gentile nations of the world (cf. Isaiah 60 and 62); they were a people set apart for His own possession (Exodus 19:5–6).
“Accordingly, the Jewish people hold a very special place in the heart of God.”
Even so, it has become trendy to disparage Israel. Even some Evangelical Christians believe, contrary to what the Bible teaches, that because her people rejected Christ, Israel has been replaced by God in the New Testament with the Church. This theory is called Replacement Theology, or Supersessionism.
Delving deeply into Scripture and in painstaking detail, Drollinger examines verses throughout the Old and New Testaments to show that biblically, Supersessionism is not supported by the Bible. In fact, this belief is opposite to what God’s Word teaches about Israel.
These Bible studies elucidate God’s Word as it applies to Israel in both the ancient world and today and help the believer understand, through Scripture, God’s commitment to Israel and his plans for her future.
“God’s Word contains a clear and absolute, timeless promise relative to the Abrahamic promise of Genesis 12:3, “‘And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse,’” the study reads.
Drollinger said the studies are timely given the recent attention on Israel and recent activity in Gaza.
“I thought this would be a good time to provide a biblical primer as to why you and our nation should remain staunch allies of Israel,” he writes to America’s public servants.
“Again, can you immediately and cogently reason from Scripture why this should be?”
Part 1 was published on May 24, and Part 2 was released this week. This two-part series is being taught in separate Bible studies to U.S. Senators, Representatives, and to former Members of President Donald Trump’s White House Cabinet and Senior Staff who continue to meet remotely every week with Drollinger for Bible studies.
These same Bible studies are available by email to those who request them. If you want to receive these studies in the same week in which they are taught to our nation’s leaders, signup here.
