Three New Strategic Federal Capitol Ministry Launches Coming Up!
A personal note from Ralph Drollinger
Three new federal Capitol Ministry births in strategic places around the world are coming up later this month and next. We request your prayer support for and during these launches.
CapMin is building new ministries in Seoul, South Korea; Kathmandu, Nepal; and Bogota, Colombia for national leaders of those countries and we ask you, our prayer partners and supporters, to pray for wide-open doors and resulting sustainable ministries relative to our efforts.
Between October 23 and November 9, a select team of CapMin senior staff and I will be visiting these countries to train newly named ministry leaders how to launch and sustain discipleship Bible-teaching ministries to the leaders of their nations.
South Korea
We will be forging a partnership in Seoul with an existing prayer ministry that has staffing in not only the federal capital, but additional team members in the 13 provincial state capitals. Our three-day conference will be held October 26-28 with some 20 South Korean Ministry Leader candidates participating. Our ministry friends in South Korea desire to “biggie size” their existing work among leaders. Working together, we will be forming discipleship ministries with skilled South Korean Bible teachers who will establish ministries in the federal and provincial capitals.
Brian Hanson, our international global director, was the driving force behind organizing the conference. Pastor Hanson credits Jon Cassel, our Africa global director for helping CapMin find Rev. Chang Hunil who will be the ministry leader to South Korea’s national leaders. Cassel is well connected throughout the globe, having built many relationships during the decades he worked with the Christian Broadcasting Network.
Rev. Hunil recruited the 13 chaplains who will complete the coursework at the training in preparation for launching their own ministries in South Korea’s 13 provinces.
“Rev. Chang is highly recognized for his dedicated work in a prayer ministry,” Pastor Hanson said. “We are excited to see how God will direct us during our time together as we share the vision of Capitol Ministries and how the work of the ministry is accomplished.
“You know, we have been working for a long time to get a foothold in Asia. God has been so gracious in opening doors where we thought a ministry like Capitol Ministries might not even be possible.”
At the training, the CapMin team will teach ministry leader candidates the intensely biblical methodology that CapMin has meticulously honed and fire tested over more than 27 years of ministry to public servants. The training is indispensable to successful, sustainable ministries. Instruction will be given on how to launch discipleship Bible studies, biblical teaching methods, the value of discipleship and relationship building, the priority of evangelism, the importance of leading public servants toward maturity in Christ, and why CapMin does not engage in political activism and lobbying.
Nepal
A training conference will be held in Kathmandu November 2-4. Our Nepalese federal capital ministry leader, Kumar Singh Praja is hosting the gathering and has invited four international colleagues to participate in the training with him. Those federal capital ministry leader candidates will be coming from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Myanmar, and India. In addition, men from four of Nepal’s provincial capitals will also participate in the training.
Long-standing relationships developed over the years also led to successful recruiting efforts in Nepal. .
“And after I shared our vision with Pastor Kumar Singh Praja, he was excited and said that he could indeed help bring others on board in the Asian theater as well,” Pastor Hanson said.
Please be praying for these great ministry expansion opportunities in both Northern and Southern Asia. Pray too that the Holy Spirit will surface one or two CapMin global director candidates from these conferences. Those key leaders are tasked with spearheading the CapMin vision into their surrounding countries in the years ahead—in this case northern and southern Asian nations.
Colombia
From there Danielle and I will fly to Bogota for the official launch day ceremonies of CapMin Colombia, on Wednesday, November 8. Our ministry leader Jose Villanueva and his wife, Clara, successfully completed our training last fall in Panama City, Panama. He and Oscar Zamora, our Latin American global director, have been planning the launch day at the federal Capitol and kindly asked us to participate.
Please be praying for these three new federal and provincial Capitol Ministry launches in the coming month—that God would establish solid sustainable ministries to reach their governmental leaders for Christ.
Your financial help with these new ministries is always welcome and desired. As we watch the world descend into darkness, help us shine the brilliant light of Jesus Christ by teaching God’s Word to political leaders inside the halls of government.
Thanks in advance for your prayers, and if you wish to participate further in this work to change one political leader’s heart at a time for Him, click here.
