We Regret to Inform you that the Prayer Breakfast has been Cancelled
We have had great interest in the RNC Nomination Day Prayer Breakfast that we were planning to host at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, WI on July 18, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we have cancelled the event.
While we won’t be able to gather together, we can still achieve the primary objective of the breakfast—to honor Jesus Christ and praise God and ask for His blessings. Please join us in privately asking our Lord for His favor upon our political leaders, the Republican nominee for President of the United States, and our nation.
As we approach the presidential election in November, our nation is in desperate need of prayer. Contrary to what some believe, praying is not “all we can do” as some uninformed Christians concede with a shrug—it is something we are commanded to do.
Do you realize that when you get on your knees to pray you are actually going into battle? Ephesians 6:12 tells us: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Because of this constant struggle, praying effectively for the best success is vital. This is especially true during this season of upcoming elections which are critical to the future direction of our country.
I don’t believe I am overstating it when I say that these elections will, among other crucial issues, affect whether America will remain strong in sending missionaries across the globe in obedience to God’s Great Commission.
Given that biblical command, it is imperative that committed Christians be praying for an outcome that glorifies our Lord, and that more believers will win office.
The importance of these elections cannot be overstated.
To aid you in the vital work of prayer, I would like to recommend to you the Bible study I will soon be teaching to national leaders in Washington, D.C., “Are You Praying Most Effectively for the Elections?”
To be effective, we need to examine how we can be our best at prayer and in prayer, not only for the outcome of the elections, but also for the outcomes of our lives. But what does it mean to pray effectively? The Bible provides the answer.
Thank you for your interest in the RNC Nomination Day Breakfast, CapMin, and our mission to help fulfill the Great Commission by changing the world one heart at a time for Him. And please join me in praying for those in authority whose decisions impact our lives and set the course for our nation’s future.
In Him,
