Capitol Ministries Launches White House Bible Study for High-Ranking Trump Administration
High-ranking members of President Donald Trump’s administration have been meeting weekly to study the Bible together at a discipleship Bible study launched by Capitol Ministries earlier this month.
Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries who leads the study will make the announcement during a video appearance tomorrow at The Return, a day for Christian repentance and prayer in Washington, D.C.
“The White House Bible study is not only instrumental to the spiritual growth of members of President Trump’s administrative staff, but it is symbolic to America being ‘One Nation Under God,’” Drollinger said in an interview prior to the event. “It follows that any nation that makes such a claim would have vibrant and well-attended regular Bible studies in all of its branches of government.”
Drollinger chose to announce the study launch on the day that national and international religious leaders will gather in Washington D.C. to call Christians to repentance and prayer for our leaders and our nation.
The Return, to be held 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday, September 26 at the Washington, D.C. Mall, was organized by Pastor Kevin Jessip and New York Times’ bestselling author Jonathan Cahn.
Pastor Jessip previously lauded Drollinger and Capitol Ministries for the mission and strong commitment to fulfilling the Great Commission.
“When it comes to the ministry of making disciples of Jesus Christ in the political arena throughout the world, the Lord has called and chosen Ralph Drollinger to impact with the Gospel, every strata of government,” Pastor Jessip said. “Thank you Ralph Drollinger and Capitol Ministries for being the faithful watchman in fulfilling the Great Commission.”
Also on Saturday, evangelist and missionary Franklin Graham will hold a Prayer March at the Washington mall, calling Christians to come to the nation’s capital to go “directly to the King of kings … to stand in front of the throne of grace and make our petitions known to God.”
Drollinger will be featured in a taped video among dozens of high-profile religious leaders to speak at The Return. You can watch his comments and prayer here.
Drollinger will talk about the mission of Capitol Ministries to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the political arena of the world. He will invite believers across the nation to become involved in CapMin’s Local Government Ministries, an effort to establish Bible studies to city and county commissioners and other local elected and appointed leaders in the 40,000 incorporated communities across the United States. Drollinger will close his remarks with a prayer for America. He will pray that the Bible taught in the Old Testament book of Haggai that if civic and spiritual leaders who name the name of God are not obedient to God and His precepts, that He would withhold their harvest and bring devastation to their land, but that God would bless an obedient nation.
“Judgment first begins with the household of God. Lest we look to the left and be chagrined with their antics, may we look to ourselves today.”
He will note that one aspect of God’s calling is to fulfill the Great Commission, and will pray “May we be about aggressively fulfilling the Great Commission amongst the political leaders of our land that we might see more obedience of our public servants who name Your name to Your precepts which we know from Haggai, Chapter 1 directly relates to the success or not of a nation.”
“And so it is with that insight from scripture that we center our thoughts this morning at this event to be pleasing unto You and that You might bring manifold blessings back to our nation even as we anticipate the upcoming election. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
In an interview prior to the event, Drollinger said the White House study, along with the Cabinet, Senate, and House Member Bible studies that he teaches weekly are evidence that Christians have once again become a strong presence in our nation’s government as they were in its founding.
While President Ronald Reagan, a man of faith and one of the most conservative presidents of our time had no visible support from Christians in his cabinet and senior staff, President Donald Trump has appointed numerous committed Christians to top leadership positions and they have provided support, guidance, and influence, and consistently and increasingly helped the President to create and enact biblically based policies. Those wise appointments have made the difference in terms of ensuing policy manifestations that serve to honor God and His Word. Such leads to God blessing the nation.
Such a presence of Christians in government is vital relative to increasing attempts to erase our nation’s Judeo-Christian heritage, rewrite history, smother Christian voices, and enact policies that are damaging to a sound society.
“We are warring against the spiritual forces of evil,” Drollinger said. “During The Return on Saturday, ten thousand churches will be praying world-wide that the gospel will go forward in American culture and in Washington, D.C. among the elected and appointed leaders of our nation.”
Drollinger said the establishment of the D.C. studies to top Trump administration leaders is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work and answered prayer.
“Satanic forces are trying to push Christians out of D.C. and intimidate us out of our faith, but we are pushing back saying, ‘No! We are here to stay and, in fact, there is a powerful growing movement for Christ in D.C.!’”
The apostle Paul taught in Ephesians 6:12 that Christians battle forces of evil: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
“One of the reasons we list the names of Member sponsors in our weekly printed 8-page D.C. Bible studies is because we want to proclaim to the reprobate pawns of the Satanic forces in D.C. that the Gospel and the Christian worldview are alive and well on The Hill,” Drollinger said. “By ‘reprobate’ I mean those whom God has abandoned in Romans 1.”
“We are telling them, ‘You may as well pack up and go home. We are here to stay and we are a growing movement for Christ in D.C.’”
The D.C. studies are very well attended and are sponsored by eight cabinet members, four former cabinet members, eleven U.S. Senators, and forty-one U.S. Representatives. Names of the sponsors are featured in the right column of the first page of every Bible study. Sign up here to receive your free email copy every week.
Drollinger and Capitol Ministries do not support a theocracy — a government in which religious leaders rule as divinely guided by God, because the New Testament does not support theocracies.
“We are all for institutional separation, but not influential separation; the secularists desire both,” said Drollinger.
“We are one nation under God and if we are to have Bible studies in the White House and on The Hill in perpetuity, people need to re-elect Donald Trump,” Drollinger said. “That is not a political statement, that is an objective analysis of party platforms. One party — Republican — includes God. The other party — Democrat — excludes Him (For more insight on the subject matter, read this letter by my friend, Dr. Wayne Grudem).
Among many examples of the Democrat party rejecting God include:
- The Democrat party omitting the words “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance during their 2020 national convention. (Exodus 20:3, Isaiah 59:13)
- Prominent Democrats calling for abortions up until birth. (Exodus 20:13, Job 31:15, Jeremiah 1:5)
- Prominent Democrats permitting rioters to burn cities, destroy and loot businesses and threaten homeowners and motorists in numerous cities while protecting their own homes with armed private guards as they call for defunding police departments in their own communities. (Matthew 7:23, 2 Thessalonians 2:1, 1 Timothy 1:9, 1 John 3:4)
- Ralph Northam, the Democrat Governor of Virginia, supporting abortion after a live birth — in other words, infanticide. (Exodus 20:13, Luke 1:41, 44, Luke 1:15)
- Former U.S. Congressman and presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke proposing that churches that don’t support same-sex marriage lose their tax exempt status. (Leviticus 20:15, 1 Timothy 1:8-11, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
- Delegates at the 2016 Democrat National Convention erupting in boos when an attempt was made to add the words “God-given” to a resolution. (Matthew 10:33, Isaiah 59:13, Jeremiah 5:12)
“If the people of our nation which was founded on Christian values, want a sustainable, perpetual, Bible study and a ministry to the thousands of people in the executive branch of the U.S. government, then we need to vote for Donald Trump because the other party voted God out of their platform,” Drollinger said. “If the Democrat candidate is elected, as far as Bible studies go, the White House will go dark.”
The White House study is the fourth ministry that Drollinger has planted and leads weekly in Washington, D.C.
Capitol Ministries made history in 2018 by establishing a Bible study to members of President Donald Trump’s White House Cabinet — reportedly the first in 100 years. Separate weekly studies were created for U.S. Senators in 2015 and U.S. Representatives in 2010.
Government leaders attend the Capitol Ministries Bible studies on their own time. All costs of the studies are paid for by Capitol Ministries, no tax dollars are spent. Capitol Ministries is a 501c3 ministry and receives no government funding. If you wish to support the work of Capitol Ministries, click here.
