Please Pray for God’s Leading at CapMin’s Latin America Training and Recruitment Conference
Established ministry leaders and newly recruited ministry candidates from 14 nations are meeting this week at Capitol Ministries’ Latin America Training and Recruiting Conference.
The men, some of whom are attending with their ministry partner wives, are traveling from the Americas to learn more about establishing and sustaining discipleship ministries to political leaders from local governments to parliaments in their home countries.
The event is being held in Panama City, Panama, October 3-7. Additional conferences are planned around the world this year and in 2023.
“Through God’s leading, Capitol Ministries is flourishing in many places around the world and so we are holding conferences in strategic locations to train national Bible-teaching evangelists who have been recruited over the past year by our global leaders,” said Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries.
“We have found that regional conferences are the best way to teach new ministry leaders about our mission and the methods involved in CapMin’s biblical top-down missions strategy of reaching political leaders first with God’s Word.
“This methodology, which is found in many books of the Bible, is based on what God’s word teaches in 1 Timothy 2:1-4. The word “first of all” translates into protos in the Greek language, which means first in priority.”
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
Many of the ministry leader candidates who will be attending the Panama conference were recruited by Oscar Zamora, CapMin’s Latin America Global Director who has had tremendous success in growing the CapMin mission in Central and South America.
Oscar and Elizabeth Zamora and Roderick and Carolina Burgos planned the conference. Roderick is CapMin’s ministry leader to members of the National Assembly of Panama.
These new recruits will be well equipped to build discipleship ministries in their own nations, said Brian Hanson, CapMin’s International Director.
“Latin America is a place of exciting growth and the men who Oscar has recruited, by the grace of God, are solid men who are well qualified and equipped to fulfill this mission,” Pastor Hanson said.
At the conference, participants will learn about Capitol Ministries’ intensely biblical methodology that has been meticulously honed and fire tested over more than 25 years of ministry experience to public servants. The training is indispensable to successful, sustainable ministries.
Instruction will be given on how to launch discipleship Bible studies, biblical teaching methods, the value of discipleship and relationship building, the priority of evangelism, the importance of leading public servants toward maturity in Christ, and why CapMin does not engage in political activism and lobbying.
English to Spanish and Spanish to English translators will translate the speakers’ presentations in real time.
The conferences are also designed to build relationships between Capitol Ministries leaders and cast worldwide vision for CapMin’s mission. Many opportunities are provided for ministry leaders to learn from each other, to receive support from CapMin leadership, and benefit from ongoing training.
For the first time at a conference, the newly published “Ministry Leader Training Manual” which provides important information and pertinent details about developing, launching, and sustaining ministries will be distributed.
Other conferences are scheduled for Cape Town, South Africa, October 19-23 and Brussels, Belgium, June 26-29, 2023. A date for the upcoming conference in Suva, Fiji is yet to be determined.
Capitol Ministries leadership thanks our supporters for praying for the Latin America conference, for God’s leading and will, safe travels, discernment, and that hearts would be ignited to teach God’s Word to the political leaders of the world.
“Please pray for God’s leading in this time we have together with our established and future ministry leaders,” Pastor Hanson said. “Pray that they will spiritually have open eyes and hearts to this ministry.
“Please ask the Lord that what God begins in Panama City will have wings to the political leaders in all the nations of Latin America.”
