Wanted: Men To Take The Word of God To State Political Leaders
Capitol Ministries is accepting applications for Ministry Leader candidates who wish to teach God’s Word and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with state legislators, judges, and constitutional officers and help fulfill the Great Commission in the United States.
Ministry Leader positions are open in several states, and Capitol Ministries is looking to fill them with men who are enthusiastic about creating discipleship ministries to political leaders.
The accepted candidates will receive training at the U.S. State Capitol Ministry Leaders Conference Nov. 27-Dec. 1 at the Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains in northern California.
“We are seeking proven, intentional, deliberate, biblically reliant disciple makers who are passionate about evangelism and about teaching the Word of God,” said Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries. “Our leaders seek to be audacious and intrepid as the ministers in kings’ palaces (Proverbs 30:28).”
“Ministry Leaders offer support, counsel, and discipleship to Christian political leaders who often serve far from their homes, families, and home churches, and they evangelize those who do not know Christ.”
Ministry Leaders are paired with Christian legislators who sponsor the weekly Bible studies and provide regular meeting places inside the state capitols.
Relationship-building is vital to these ministries, said Perry Gauthier, CM North America Director who is also an experienced Ministry Leader having led a discipleship Bible study to Nebraska legislators and a separate year-round study to capitol staff for 10 years.
“Ministry Leaders also provide spiritual support, friendship, and pastoral counseling to Christian Public Servants in times of trials, temptations, family struggles, and other difficulties,” Gauthier said. “Capitol Ministries’ intensely-biblical methodology has been meticulously honed and fire-tested through 21 years of ministry experience in U.S. capitols. The training is indispensable.”
The five-day training conference will include instruction in establishing Bible studies to elected officials, the value of discipleship and relationship building, and the importance of leading Public Servants toward maturity in Christ, among many other topics.
