“When we gather to study the Bible, it helps us to improve as Senators and be the best version of ourselves.
“In studying God’s Word, we are able to reflect on biblical lessons and apply them to our lives to ensure that we are making the best decisions for the people we serve rather than selfish decisions that benefit us politically.
“The lessons of the Bible are definitely relevant for today.
“We just finished studying the life of David and Perry Gauthier did such a great job teaching the history that helped us understand what life was like when David lived, and the decisions he made, both the good as well as the bad.
“Every week Perry’s teachings from the Bible help us as Senators. Both he and his wife, Faith, do such a great job.
“All those lessons we learn, with the guidance of God, help us make decisions that are truly for the good of the people.
“I was elected in November 2017, this is the beginning of my third year in office, and last year I attended the Bible study after talking to other Senators who were very excited about it, and I’m glad I did. This year I hosted it.”
