Donations Returned-to-Sender in Mail Snafu – Problem Now Solved – Here’s What to Do!
Due to a U.S. Postal Service (USPS) error, since March 25 some supporters have had the donations they send monthly to support ministry leaders who teach the Word of God to political leaders returned to them as “undeliverable.”
Even though donors correctly used the provided pre-paid envelope that is printed with the accurate CapMin address, the mail was not delivered to our mail sorting center in Arizona.
This snafu, which was beyond our control, has left many ministry leaders who depend upon the monthly donations, without that needed support.
The problem has been solved and we are asking donors who experienced this problem to either re-send the checks or donate directly from the CapMin website capmin.org.
“Our dedicated and committed ministry leaders depend upon monthly support from donors and this problem has caused them difficulties,” said Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries.
“I am asking our faithful donors to re-send their checks or make donations on our secure website capmin.org from this point forward.”
“Speaking on behalf of our ministry leaders, we are so grateful for our supporters who are called to pray for CapMin, partner with us, and support ministry leaders financially as we work to fulfill the Great Commission through discipleship Bible studies to political leaders.”
While the problem has been solved, it took some detective work to determine how this happened.
After discovering that there was an issue with the donations, Capitol Ministries headquarters staff conducted a review and swift inquiry to the donation processing center (DPCS) in Arizona.
The probe revealed that the name on the CapMin mailbox at the USPS location had been changed in error and since March 25, any mail addressed to that mailbox was returned-to-sender as “undeliverable.”
To circumvent any future issues, CapMin is asking supporters to donate online at our secure website. The “Give” button is on the top right of our homepage at capmin.org.
Donors may scroll to find their state and choose any amount including a one-time or recurring gift.
Each ministry leader has his own page on the website and donations may also be made there. Find the directory by clicking here.
“I want to thank our faithful partners in advance for helping us to correct this error,” Drollinger said.
“We appreciate their efforts to make sure the ministry leaders they are supporting receive the monthly donation they intended for these men to have as they work to change one political leader’s heart at a time with the Word of God.”
