“My faith in Jesus Christ is at the core of who I am,” said former U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry who is so passionate about Capitol Ministries efforts to reach city and county officials with the Word of God that he is leading the effort!
Former Secretary Perry greatly values Capitol Ministries’ White House Cabinet Bible study in Washington, D.C. and has committed to establishing discipleship Bible studies in the 40,000 incorporated local communities across the United States.
“I am passionate about Capitol Ministries’ efforts to reach today’s 500,000 elected local government leaders with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and disciple them with the Word of God so they may form a Christian worldview in their hearts,” former Secretary Perry said.
“I see this effort as critically important. America’s ideological future hangs in the balance.”
“I believe this is one of CapMin’s most strategic long-term ministries. I am committed to helping achieve this as CapMin’s spokesman for Local Government Ministries.”
The studies are among the best that Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries, has written specifically for public servants over more than 24 years in ministry, and are the same ones he has taught to members of the White House Cabinet, U.S. Senators, and Representatives in Washington, D.C.
The year-long series provides a progressive faith journey to help create a strong spiritual foundation, shape character, and help the Christian public servant mature in his or her faith. Some studies also examine crucial policy issues through the timeless lens of God’s Word.
Former Secretary Perry said the studies are “in-depth, theologically sound, and drill deep in Scripture. The studies helped us all understand more about God, biblical truths, and what God expects of us as leaders.”
Many local leaders have accepted former Secretary Perry’s invitation and have begun reading the studies. Our mission is to evangelize and disciple all of America’s 500,000 local city and county leaders who make the laws and the policies that affect the neighborhoods of our nation.
The Bible tells us that true change comes through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not only will these Bible studies impact the eternal souls of local political leaders, but they will also influence the very future of the United States.
As local leaders learn about God’s timeless tenets and live their lives and perform their work in ways pleasing to Him, their influence will be felt throughout the nation.
Please join with us in this as we teach the Bible to city and county leaders every week. If you give monthly, will you please consider an additional one-time gift to help us evangelize and disciple those who make the laws and policies that impact every local community in America?
Thank you for your prayerful consideration. In the words of former Secretary Perry, “We covet your prayers as we embark on this tremendously important endeavor.”
