Togo Leadership

Kouami Amedjikpo

Ministry Leader
Amedjikpo Kouami serves as Capitol Ministries’ Ministry Leader in Togo, where his desire is to see political leaders come to know Jesus Christ and grow as His disciples. Based in Lomé, Amedjikpo ministers to national political leaders, believing that those grounded in Scripture can serve with wisdom and integrity and help promote peace and prosperity throughout their nation.

Amedjikpo sensed God calling him to ministry while pursuing his education in zoology. After completing his degree in 2000, he turned his attention to theological training and ministry, beginning more than two decades of church planting, pastoral leadership, Bible teaching, and discipleship.

A lifelong student and teacher of Scripture, Amedjikpo holds degrees in zoology and theology and has pursued advanced theological studies. He also received training in biblical and modern Hebrew in Jerusalem. Since 2003, he has taught Biblical Hebrew at Togo Baptist Seminary and has also taught hermeneutics and Bible study. Amedjikpo previously served as director and academic dean of the Togo Baptist Institute and has trained others in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting.

Amedjikpo and his wife, Marguerite, have been married since 2001 and have three children, Timothy, Charis, and Hasadia. Their ministry has also included caring for vulnerable children, orphans, and widows.

Amedjikpo became a Capitol Ministries Ministry Leader in 2023, seeing in CapMin’s mission an opportunity to bring his passion for evangelism and discipleship into Togo’s political arena.

“I want to contribute to the evangelism and training of political leaders as disciples of Christ,” Amedjikpo explains. His hope is that as leaders know Christ and understand Scripture more deeply, their lives and leadership will reflect Him.

Amedjikpo asks others to pray that God will open doors among leaders in Togo’s National Assembly and give him wisdom and courage in this ministry. Above all, he desires to see political leaders saved, discipled, and equipped to faithfully serve Jesus Christ for the glory of God.
