Bishop Joseph Persaud was raised in a church in his South America home country of Guyana that taught the Church should have nothing to do with government or political leaders.
He believed that until he studied the Bible to see what God actually said about the issue.
“I found that the Bible on politics is contrary to what I was taught,” he said. And since then, he’s had a passion to reach political leaders for Christ.
That desire met opportunity when Bishop Persaud met Ralph and Danielle Drollinger, founders of Capitol Ministries, when they were on a mission trip to Caribbean Island nations last year.
The meeting of the minds and hearts to reach political leaders resulted in Bishop Persaud, a well-known and highly-regarded visionary leader with vast experience in ministry, being named CM’s Global Director for the Caribbean.
Bishop Persaud is charged with finding Bible teachers and political leaders willing to begin weekly ministries and Bible studies to the leaders of their nations’ governments in the Caribbean region:
