KATHMANDU, NEPAL — Capitol Ministries is witnessing promising new opportunities to expand its mission throughout the 10/40 Window, one of the world’s most challenging regions for Christian ministry, following an Asia Ministry Leader Training Conference held September 28–30 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The conference brought together 65 participants representing 19 Asian nations, including Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Bhutan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and others.
The 10/40 Window, stretching across North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, is home to billions of people, including many of the world’s least-reached populations. In several countries, government restrictions and religious opposition present significant challenges to Christian ministry.

Organized by Kumar Praja, Capitol Ministries Director of Asia, the conference equipped participants with biblical and practical training to establish ongoing Bible studies among political leaders in their respective nations.

Capitol Ministries Director of Training Brian Solomon and CapMin Board Member Pastor Sean Arviso provided instruction on the biblical mandate for reaching political leaders and the ministry’s model for establishing sustainable discipleship ministries within government institutions.

New Opportunities Across Asia
The conference has already generated encouraging reports and opened doors for potential new ministries.
In India, our ministry leader connected with a Christian leader involved in organizing prayer breakfasts in Parliament and are exploring opportunities to go a step further and establish regular Bible studies.
In South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan, participating pastors are pursuing relationships with political leaders and developing plans to introduce Capitol Ministries Bible studies.
One particularly remarkable opportunity emerged in a predominantly Muslim country, where approximately 96 percent of the population follows Islam. Local pastors identified 23 Christian members of parliament who could potentially benefit from systematic biblical teaching and help open doors for Capitol Ministries to establish a discipleship ministry within the nation’s government. For security reasons, certain ministry details are being withheld.
Participants from Vietnam and Cambodia also shared remarkable testimonies of faith and perseverance despite challenging political and religious environments. Reflecting on the conference, Kumar Praja expressed gratitude for the response and the opportunities already emerging.
“We have to give glory to our God only! Such a great teaching event we had in Kathmandu! It is only because of God’s grace and because of your prayer support.”
Praja reported that participants have already begun contacting him about establishing Bible studies in their national capitals.
A Significant Step into the 10/40 Window
Danielle Drollinger, Capitol Ministries President, who participated in the conference, expressed excitement about the ministry’s expanding opportunities in Asia.
“I am still overwhelmed by what God is doing in Asia. These men understood the vision and were ready to act. Their response was, ‘We get the biblical mandate. We’re ready. Let’s do this!’ The Lord brought everything together for His glory, and I believe we will look back on this conference as the beginning of something extraordinary in the 10/40 Window.”
The conference also highlighted the growing need for translated Bible study materials, with six additional language translations identified as immediate priorities.
Brian Solomon summarized the significance of the gathering in one memorable statement: “Capitol Ministries makes a run at the 10/40 Window.”
Please pray for Kumar Praja and the Asia leadership team, for the protection of ministry leaders serving in sensitive countries, and for God to open doors for His Word to be proclaimed with boldness among those in authority throughout the 10/40 Window and the world.
