Slavik Rymskyi
Director, Europe (VOLUNTEER)Rather than weakening their commitment to Christ, these hardships strengthened the family’s devotion. During a time when access to Scripture was restricted, Slavik’s grandparents hand-copied portions of the New Testament and memorized sections of God’s Word so they could teach their children. These handwritten manuscripts were carefully passed among family members and fellow believers, helping preserve biblical truth during years of oppression.
Following the collapse of the Soviet Union and the restoration of religious freedom, Slavik pursued higher education, earning a degree in Philology from Mechnikov National University and later completing a second degree at the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.
After participating in international exchange programs, Slavik began his professional career in the social services sector in Ukraine’s Odesa region. He later served as an assistant to a Member of Parliament and was elected to the city council in the Odesa region, where he served for five years.
In 2021, Slavik joined Capitol Ministries in a volunteer leadership role and has since worked to advance the ministry’s outreach throughout Europe. He assists in launching and supporting Bible study ministries for political leaders and government officials across European nations, helping expand the ministry’s presence and influence throughout the region.
Slavik and his wife, Sasha, have been married since 2013 and are raising two children.
