Robert Hayden

Assistant Ministry Leader, Missouri
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Pastor Robert Hayden is not discouraged that ministries to political leaders are measured not in weeks or months but in years, as CapMin President Ralph Drollinger often says. “This is a commitment for a lifetime,” Pastor Hayden said.

As assistant ministry leader, Pastor Hayden will be leading Bible studies to five groups in the Missouri State Capitol when ministry leader Pastor Matt Goodsell is away expanding the ministry in the U.S. and Canada in his other role as CapMin North America global director.

The pastors are good friends and watching Pastor Goodsell build his ministry to political leaders drew Pastor Hayden to CapMin. Pastor Hayden was working for a private business in human resources and Pastor Goodsell recommended he pursue his love of ministry. Pastor Hayden followed the tap he sensed from God and today he serves as the part-time lead pastor with Carrington Baptist Church in Fulton, MO. A native of central Missouri, Pastor Hayden is married to Bridget and the couple has two adult children and three grandchildren. He became deeply committed to ministering to political leaders after successfully completing CapMin’s required ministry leader training and becoming certified to lead Bible studies.

“I was sold before the end of the first day of training,” he said, “My eyes have been opened to the importance of the Christian responsibility to teach God’s Word to public servants and stand up for the Gospel message. Everyone needs to be given the opportunity to accept Christ.”
