Antigua Leadership

Joseph Williams

State Ministry Leader, Antigua
With a desire to bring the truth of God’s Word to those who govern, Joseph Williams serves as Capitol Ministries’ Ministry Leader in Antigua and Barbuda. He ministers to political leaders at both the local and national levels, seeking to share the Gospel and help public servants develop a biblical worldview that influences both their lives and leadership.

Joseph brings to his ministry role more than 30 years of pastoral and church-planting experience, including 25 years of teaching the Bible. He holds a bachelor’s degree in theology and has spent decades serving the Church and proclaiming biblical truth throughout Antigua and Barbuda. As part of his preparation to serve with Capitol Ministries, Joseph completed Ministry Leader training in the Dominican Republic, July 1–3, 2025.

In addition to his pastoral ministry, Joseph is a respected ecclesiastical leader who has represented independent churches at national events, in interdenominational services, and on public broadcasts. His ministry has given him opportunities to address matters affecting the nation while pointing government leaders, families, and communities toward the truth and hope found in Scripture.
Joseph and his wife have six children—four biological and two adopted—and six grandchildren.

Joseph’s desire through Capitol Ministries is to reach those entrusted with leadership and help them understand how biblical truth applies to their lives and responsibilities.

“In-depth Bible studies not only enrich a leader’s personal faith, but also equip them with wisdom, moral clarity, and resilience to govern effectively and responsibly,” he shares.

Joseph cites Isaiah 41:13 as a meaningful passage in his own walk with the Lord: “For I am the LORD your God who upholds your right hand, who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you’”.

Through the years, Joseph has learned not simply to hold on to the words of Scripture, but to see God demonstrate His faithfulness through the circumstances of life. That conviction now shapes his approach to ministry as he seeks to bring the Gospel and in-depth Bible teaching to Antigua and Barbuda’s political leaders.

Joseph’s prayer is that Capitol Ministries will expand throughout the islands, equipping leaders with biblical truth and ultimately bringing Christ-centered influence to their communities and nation.
