Adriel Lam
Assistant Ministry Leader, HawaiiAdriel was first introduced to Capitol Ministries in one of the clearest examples of God’s perfect timing with U.S. Senator Steve Daines of Montana in the Milwaukee airport in 2024. Senator Daines struck up a conversation with Adriel and shared about his Senate Bible study that walked through the Sermon on the Mount verse by verse. As they spoke, Senator Daines asked a simple question: “Do you know that we already have a Capitol Ministries leader in Honolulu?”
Within minutes, he connected Adriel directly with Frank Cuozzo, State Ministry Leader for Hawaii. What followed was a God-ordained partnership. Frank had prayed faithfully for the Lord to open doors in the Hawaii State Capitol. As Adriel began walking alongside Frank, he helped to open doors in Hawaii’s political arena, making key introductions, and standing with him as Bible studies moved from hallways and picnic tables into lawmakers’ offices.
Adriel is a retired U.S. Army officer, who returned to Hawaii to work and serve in his community. For years, his father Phillip, who was a minister of the Gospel, encouraged him to attend seminary. God’s plan and his father’s wishes provided an opportunity in retirement for Adriel to pursue a Master of Divinity at Wayland Baptist University in Hawaii. Over seven years, intertwined with three election campaigns, working civil service, and CapMin’s Ministry Leader training in the Caribbean, the call to Capitol Ministries unfolded in the way only God can reveal.
